Projects
Project “Market Gardening” (First Innovation Project on Market Gardening in Europe)
Work Package: Soil fertility
Soil is the most valuable resource for any farmer or gardener. In market gardening, great emphasis is placed on maintaining healthy soil. As part of the “Market Gardening” project, the “Soil” work package includes conducting soil analyses, collecting and evaluating soil cultivation methods. This aims to identify potential changes resulting from specific management practices.
Project funded by: EIP-AGRI (European Innovation Partnership for Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability)
Responsible for implementation: Operational Group Market Gardening
Lead / Soil fertility Work Package: Institute of Organic Farming at BOKU
Soil Analyses & Evaluation: TB Unterfrauner GmbH
Project duration: 2022–2024
